Solana-Based NFT Game Star Atlas Joins The Epic Games Store
In a live-streamed event, the developers of Solana-based NFT game Star Atlas announced the game's release on The Epic Games Store. The game is an ambitious triple-A next-gen experience powered by Unreal Engine 5 and the Solana blockchain. The game is still in early development stages, but the Star Atlas Showroom offers a pre-alpha demo that lets you explore a 3D environment and interact with other players.
Illuvium co-founder shares plans for new ‘interoperable blockchain game’ model
Kieran Warwick, co-founder of blockchain role-playing game Illuvium, has unveiled his plans to create an interoperable blockchain gaming ecosystem. The concept is to let different games share the same in-game economy and non-fungible tokens. The games will also form a series of related titles that focus on player enjoyment.
Civitas continues expansion with key development hires
Civitas is a community-driven 4X strategy game that is growing its development team. The studio has hired Nathan Richardsson as executive producer and VP of development, along with Joe Borthwick as lead producer and Christopher King as senior designer. All three have worked on some of gaming's most memorable projects. Together, they will help deliver the world's first Web3 strategy MMO. Civitas is currently in pre-production on PC, iOS, and Android platforms.
Voxie Tactics Launches Renting Feature
The VR game Voxie Tactics has launched a renting feature that will allow players to rent NFTs and other items for a period of 30 days. The rental feature will be available on October 14, and players will be able to pay for the items in $VOXEL. Players will also be able to upgrade these items with the help of Arcanist's Forge.
